Happy 3 months Elleah! These past three months have been the very best of our lives as we have tried to start our new family! We have been amazed at how this little girl's spirit is so strong. We know she has so much of her birth parents traits in her, and for that we are grateful to you two amazing people. She is a strong HAPPY little girl, who has a huge smile on her face every time she wakes up. She is very strong willed and like my grandpa James says if you get her pointed in the right direction we won't have to worry about her...she'll be too stubborn to go any other direction! We love her and are grateful for her everyday! Thank you so much!

I love that little dimple in her cheek..when she laughs hard it comes out even more!

Here are some pics I took last night of our favorite baby! She has perfect features. That hair, those big eyes, those little heart lips, and for now those chubby cheeks. She has some great little cheek bones but for now they are hiding behind
all that baby cuteness! Just to inform everyone. Mike and I are going to try to post a weekly update. We have chosen Sunday afternoon for posting time, so hopefully we can try it for 6 months or so and see how we do! That way it takes the guessing out of posts. If we have an exciting week we'll post more than that but we're shooting for once a week so wish us luck!

I am starting to figure things out.. technologically speaking. I took this cute video of Elleah in the tub last night, and today I played around with the computer during her nap and actually figured out how to post it! I'm learning and getting a little better with each attempt so please be patient with me as I learn! I now present the first video uploaded by me!

Ella loves bath time like we have said over and over, but until you see those chubby little legs kicking you can't really enjoy it to the fullest! Here she is.. and please note I tried to keep her modest!

More baby!

Ella is getting such a fun personality, we love listening her to "talk" all day. She will just babble in high pitched tones until you get right in front of her. As soon as she makes eye contact her tone changes and she makes lower more talking tones, it's SO funny it's like she knows!

She has so many aunties who have donated the CUTEST clothes to her ever growing walk in closet! She hates clothes so getting her ready is the worst part of the day, but worth every second! We have to wait a little longer to wear this bow it's as large as her whole head!

I've mentioned before her love for tummy time but this last week or so she has actually started lifting her body and kicking at the same time! She can lay that way for so long just babbling and reaching for rattles on her play mat.

We are having trouble guessing an eye color, sometimes they look really blue, at other times more brown, they are a really rich slate grey. People stop us and say what beautiful eyes she has.

Good Dog Grace!

Gracie and Ella were so cute together today! Ella was laying on the bed ready to get Jammies on when Grace came to lay by her (like she always does). Ella started to cry and Grace moved closer. (I grabbed the camera) Ella stopped crying and looked up at her, Grace licked her head and layed back down! I just laughed and had to take a photo of it in hopes of making our own rendition of "good dog Carl".

Happy New Years

We have to apologize for not updating sooner, it is just hard without a computer and camera cables! Elleah and I just arrived back in Texas today safe and sound, so here comes an update! We were scheduled to leave on the 28 but after a battle with insurance we had to stay for her 2 month check up. It was nice to have a few extra days with family but the time went far too quickly! Her Dr. appointment went great she is really healthy and the Dr. was so surprised at how advanced she is (kicking, holding her body up on her own while on her stomach, giggling, and cooing). She weighed in at 12.5 lbs! The little monkey is growing everyday! She was in the 50% for head size, the 83% for length she is now 24.5 inches long! and in the 74% for weight! The Dr. said for as long as she is her weight is just perfect and he would be worried if she was much smaller! She received 4 shots (2 in each thigh) and I don't know who it was more difficult for..lets just say we both cried! The only worry is a small hernia over her bellybutton, but the Dr. said it is fairly common and so small it should clear up on its own! That's it for the update. Everyone has been commenting that she looks like a baby doll. I have to agree nothing real is this perfect!
On the plane ride home today she slept half the time and smiled the other half! She was such a delight! All the people next to us couldn't believe she didn't cry once even during take off and landing!
I put this into black and white to try to hide her mismatched outfit . . . but it didn't work

She loves tummy time. She is kicking and kicking, trying to scoot. Part of me doesn't want her to advance anymore!! I love this newborn phase, but it isn't lasting long!
