The fair!
Sorry about all the repeat photos from our family blog we need to take a few more I suppose!
We had such a great time at the fair. Elleah even loved looking at all the art. As for an update on new things...She points at everything she needs or wants and is trying her hardest to talk. She says quite a few words and LOVES books more than anything. Since turning mobile she is just so easy going. She loves discovering anything that looks new and different and is easily amused! Her first top tooth just broke through so now there are three. It's SO cute, but makes her look so big. What is happening to our tiny baby? We've started planning her 1st birthday party but can't believe it's coming so soon!

A message for grandparents everywhere

Mike and I just cannot believe how fast time is passing! This little monkey is almost 1! We were looking back at old videos and found this one we thought you would enjoy. She was 3 months old when this was filmed. I can't believe her hair (or lack of). But her little personality is still the same! We laughed and laughed at the end when she waved!

a little monkey!

Elleah= Crawling, and New Words!
We can officially CALL it crawling. For the last month you have moved one or two steps by crawling, but preferred to pull your self up onto anything possible and walk. On the 14th it all changed you just "decided" to get on all fours (well almost) and crawl. You zoomed across the floor! You now pull everything off the shelf, get into all my drawers and laugh hysterically at how smart you are!

Also...You can Say "Dad", "Mom", "Dog" "Bye" "Hi" that comes out "Ha", "num-num" for food, "ball", and "baby"! What a smart little monkey!

sorry...yes I always sound this cheesy talking to my baby!

hawaii

We're home! We had such a great family vacation!! Elleah was such a great little traveler. The 6 hour plane ride didn't even phase her. She loved poking her head over the seat to see what the passenger behind us was doing. Luckily it was a really cute couple who thought she was the cutest thing ever. She didn't sleep one tiny bit on the way there, but I think it actually helped a TON with jet lag when we got there about the same time we left (they are 4 hours behind).
She was mesmerized by the ocean and always had to hold on real tight when we took long walks every morning. The family all adored her and were so helpful to take her so Mike and I could have a little alone time also! She is really starting to recognize people and hold out her arms to people she knows and shy away from those she doesn't. It doesn't take her long to warm up to any one though and it's fun to see her batt those big eyes and smile at people as we pass.
She tried a lot of new foods...Shrimp, lilikoi (passion fruit), jack fruit, a new type of curry, a dole whip, poi, taro rolls, papya and a few other things I can't think of at the moment. We have yet to find a food she doesn't LOVE. She turned 9 months our second day there and to celebrate we went to a luau and a big dance show at the PCC. Here are some of the photos fom the great trip. I hope all of you are happy and doing well. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help!
XOXO

Cameron-we took these photos with you in mind. Mike took his Uke to play to her on the beach. She has a pink bucket and she played with it in the sand, just like the song. We thought it was something you needed to see! Thanks for teaching Mike the song
(although we sing "oh...Ell-ie")

Words to NOT say at our house!

oh no
bonk
what happened?
what was that?
No
don't eat that

among MANY others!

Elleah is undergoing quite the sensitive spell. For the last two weeks if you say any word that isn't a really really happy word she puts out her little lower lip and pouts. She won't cry really, she just gets her little feeling hurt. It's actually really super cute and we always start laughing when she does it, and she then usually starts laughing too. It's quite dramatic at our house right now, but definitely a good time. My mom told me to be ware becuase I was the most dramatic emotional child ever so I guess I wouln't expect anything different!

Here are some photos from this last week! She's quite the baby doll! The first one is her pouty face!

I turned my back for one minute and someone gave my baby a chocolate cookie! She loved it, but made quite the mess! I didn't have the heart to take it away she was enjoying it too much!

We need to first apologize for our slack-blogging. Here are some highlights of our crazy summer, and some new fun things the baby is doing!
Elleah is getting more and more beautiful, each day and her hair is getting thicker and thicker. She is pulling herself up on furniture, and trying to get into everything. She scoots on her bum but refuses to crawl. If she needs something she'll get on her two front hands, one knee and then plant her other foot on the ground like she's walking! She's starting walking along the front of the couches and can even pull herself up in her crib. We' keep practicing crawling, but I'm not sure it's ever going to happen!
